[Taisho Roman Yume-dori] visited an event “Kawagoe Take Akari (bamboo Lanterns)”.
September 7, 2019 we visited an event called “Kawagoe Take Akari (bamboo lanterns)” which was held at “Taisho Roman Yume-dori” in Renjyaku-cho, Kawagoe-shi .
This was an event that the stone pavement of the shopping mall was lighted up with the bamboo lanterns for 3 hours from 6pm to 9pm.
We didn’t know about this event till a day before…but once noticed by the Twitter we really wanted to come.
Taisho Roman Yume-dori is about 20 minutes walk from our hotel. It’s a nostalgic shopping mall with stone pavement.
The bamboo lanterns in the shape of “a heart” and “Toki no Kane”. There was a stand where you can take picures on it.
There were long bamboo lanterns with the beautiful cuttings on the both side of the street and were gorgeous.
Dim vague lights beautifully matched with Taisho Roman Yume-dori.
This should be a shape of a Koinobori(carp stramer). Looking forward to see it again the next year..
